Frequently Asked Questions

WILL IT TAKE MORE TIME TO PRACTICE IF MY CHILD IS LEARNING ADDITIONAL SKILLS BESIDES BASIC PIANO TECHNIQUES?

Not likely. We adopt a unique practice method and we expect your child to practice effectively with less effort. Children only need to spend half of the normal pactice time using Impromptu's advanced teaching methods.

MY CHILD NOW USES AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF LEARNING PIANO. WILL HE/SHE BE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH THE USUAL PIANO GRADE EXAMS?

Yes. We expect students to attain a level equivalent to ABRSM Grade 3 after completion of the Impromptu course.

WHY DO WE INCLUDE IMPROVISATION, SING ALONG AND COMPOSITION TO OUR COURSE?

Impromptu provides a fun way to train younger children in classical music. These skills encourage musicality in children, improve their finger dexterity and speed up sight-reading. They are much more effective than the traditional piano learning methods.
